In this article we will explain how to copy data with database structure from another database in sql server with example step by step.

Description:

Several times, we need to copy SQL Server table schema and data from one database

to another database. In this tip, I show how to do this using wizard in SQL Server.

Step 1: create a database using query like as below.

CREATE DATABASE Articles

Step 2: Right-click on the database name, then select "Tasks" > "Export data..." from                  the object explorer.



Step 3: Provide authentication and select the source from which you want to copy the data; click "Next"

 

 

Step 4: Provide authentication and select the database where you want to copy the

 data; click "Next"


Step 5: Copy data from one or more tables or view; click "Next"

 

Step 6: select table which you want to copy; click "Next"

 

Step 7: select Run immediately; click "Next"

 

Step 8: click "Finish"

 

Step 9: click "Close"

 

Now see below fig UserProfile table copy.
